TECHNOLOGY
This course teaches the use and interpretation of 3 related diagnostic aids for the stomatognathic system.
- Joint Vibration Analysis for the TMJ.
- Electromyography for muscles of the head and neck.
- T-Scan III for computerised occlusal case finishing.
These can be used separately or integrated into a single system. They are taught together to show the relationship between the TMJ, craniofacial muscles and occlusion.

- Fundamentals and theory of JVA/EMG and T-Scan.
- JVA/EMG and T Scan demonstrations.
- Report analysis, interpretation and applications.
- Role of support staff to help with biometric protocols.
OBJECTIVES
- Learn how JVA/EMG and T-Scan quantify the impact of your dental treatments on your patient’s craniofacial physiology.
- Refresh your knowledge or introduce staff to diagnostics (bring your staff along).
Presenter information
Dr. Sarah Qadeer BDS, MSD
Dr Qadeer is International Lecturer and Coordinator for International Affairs at the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry at Thammasat University, Thailand.
Dr. Qadeer graduated with a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in Advanced Prosthodontics and is the coordinator for the International Training Centre for Advanced Dentistry (TUICAD) that conducts state-of-the-art dental continuing education programs.
Dr Qadeer has published multiple scientific papers and lectured extensively worldwide in her particular fields of interest – digital technology and its use in modern dentistry.
